The Industries & Commerce Department, Govt. of Haryana on August 19, 2026, notified regarding the Diesel Generator Set Subsidy Scheme for MSMEs to Promote Cleaner Fuel and Emission Control.
The following has been stated:
• The Government has notified the “Diesel Generator Set Subsidy Scheme” under the Haryana Clean Air Project for Sustainable Development (HCAPSD 2025–2031) to help Micro and Small Enterprises transition from diesel-only generators to cleaner fuels, dual-fuel systems and Retrofit Emission Control Devices (RECDs) and comply with CPCB and CAQM emission standards.
• The scheme will operate for six years in three phases—Phase I covering Faridabad, Gurugram, Sonipat and Jhajjar; Phase II covering all NCR districts of Haryana; and Phase III covering the entire State. Eligible MSMEs can receive 50% reimbursement, up to ₹5 lakh, for RECD/dual-fuel conversion of existing DG sets, or 50% of the cost of a new CPCB-compliant DG set, up to ₹20 lakh, subject to prescribed benchmark costs and conditions.
• The scheme targets 1,000 DG sets for retrofit/dual-fuel conversion and 1,400 new generators. Beneficiary units shall have Udyam Registration/HUM, be in commercial and regular production, and shall not have availed similar subsidy under another government scheme. Supported equipment shall comply with CPCB, HSPCB, and CAQM standards, undergo physical and technical verification, and remain operational for at least six years from subsidy disbursement.
• Applications shall generally be filed online within three months of purchase/conversion or notification of the scheme, whichever is later. False claims may result in a refund with 12% compound interest, legal action, debarment from State incentives and public procurement, and recovery as arrears of land revenue.
